Johrei and Hypnotherapy

Is hypnotherapy like Johrei?

The founder of Johrei was a Japanese man called Mokichi Okada (1882-1955). Okada wanted to create a peaceful world where everyone lived healthily and in happiness.

Mokichi Okada practised Johrei; in this spiritual process, universial energy is transferred from the sun to the person: it is a two-way process. The universal energy has a huge impact on an individual’s state of being. Individuals feel more energized and relaxed; they feel happier, more confident and more able to achieve their own personal goals.

This Japanese art form has been taken on by people in the Isan region of Thailand. Not only have the principles of Johrei–specifically the nature farming and eating ofnaturally grown food produce–been taken on by Isan men and women in the wider community, but also the Sekai Krusei-kyo health care practices in Isan, particuarly in Nakhon Ratchasima, have set up mental development courses following Johrei tehniques, and have begun to teach the doctrines of the Sekai Kyusei-Kyo. The four truths of the philosphy are Mutitah (the celebration of other people’s happiness), Maehtta (compassion), Kharuna (mercy) and Ubeka (tranquility). Therapists have to perform three responsibilities to fufil their modus vivendi: homage, Johrei therapy and a disapline known as ’serving the faith’ (Phaengsoi, 2009).

Like Johrei, Hypnotherapy is also a two way process by which energy can be transferred from an outside source. During the process of content free therapy, the hypnotherapist can facilitate an environment in which the client can move energy from one place to another, thereby using the universal energy to help him to live a more appropriate and fulfilling life. The energy can also be used to eliminate negative energy, what, in Johrei terminology, might be known as ‘clouds’.

This is a healing process. Okada called it the Process of Purification, and, like hypnotherapy, it can be used to eliminate toxins found in illnesses or problems such as IBS, the flu, tiredness, anger, psychosomatic pain, mild rheumatism, depression. Both healing processes can also be used to manage or eliminate life-threatening conditions.

Johrei and Dr David Kraft

Dr Kraft has been using hypnotherapy with a great deal of success. He has visited Thailand on many occasions and has begun to learn about the philosophy of the Sekai Krusei-Kyo school. He has also begun to learn about the principles of Johrei. He hopes, in the future, having learnt from trained masters in Thailand, to use Johrei in order to enhance his work as a hypnotherapist. Dr Kraft already uses, and has had great success in employing, energy therapy in conjunction with hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy to Stop Smoking

Do you Want to have Hypnotherapy Stop Smoking?

Hypnotherapy is a very powerful tool for the treatment of psychological disorders, but it can also be used to help individuals give up unwanted habits. Hypnotherapy has been used to help people stop smokingdrinking, fighting, and other antisocial behaviour; it has also helped nail biters and cannabis smokers.

What Technique is Used to Help me Stop Smoking?

Aversion Therapy. Dr David Kraft has had a lot of success treating clients in this way; it is a very powerful and intense technique. The benefits of this technique is that it is long lasting, and, also, the effects are instant. Some clients give up smoking in a couple of sessions.

What is Aversion Therapy? How does hypnotherapy help me to Stop Smoking?

Aversion Therapy is a technique by which clients, during hypnotherapy, are given an unpleasant sensation associated with the smoking–for instance, the therapist might suggest that, before you feel like taking a cigarette, you will feel ghastly, sick and nauseous. The idea is not to actually make you sick but to stop you picking the cigarette up in the first place.

IMPORTANT!!

If you want to get hypnotherapy just to prove to a friend that you have tried everything and you still can’t give up oryou want to prove to a friend or, indeed, the hypnotherapist, that hypnotherapy doesn’t work then don’t book a session. Save your money. When you are ready to be a non smoker, then make that telephone call–it will save you a lot of money in the future.

How much Money will it Save Me in a Year?

If you smoke 20 Marlboro Light a day, the cost per year is £2, 190. £2,190 minus 3 sessions (average number of sessions) at £160= £1,710.

But it might save your life or, indeed, thousands of pounds worth of medical bills, too, in the future!

How Do I Book a Session?

All you need to do is to phone London Hypnotherapy UK for an appointment. The telephone number is 0207 467 8564. London Hypnotherapy UK is located at the Cavendish Square end of Harley Street.

What Other Essential Information Must I Have?

This is a complete abstinence programme. In three months’ time, you cannot say to yourself, ‘Oh, I will just have one cigarette” This never works. You stop now.

Hypnotherapy to Stop Smoking

Hypnotherapy: Stopping Smoking

Can hypnotherapy help me to stop smoking?

Yes. Hypnotherapy is a very powerful tool. And the process is often a very quick one.

If I went to a hypnotherapist to help me stop smoking what would I expect?

It is important to see the hypnotherapist when you are ready. Motivation is a very important factor in this process. If you want to experience hypnotherapy in order to tell your partner that this didn’t work, then you will be throwing your money away. Only see a hypnotherapist when you, yourself, are ready.

Why is repetition important?

In every day life, if we repeat a phrase over and over again, we ignore its content and feel that it makes no sense to us; however, to the unconscious mind, which processes stimuli literally, each time one repeats a phrase, it enhances our awareness and our sensory responses react to that awareness.

 What do I do Next?

Book the session. All you have to do is to ring up the hypnotherapist and book an appointment. It is that simple. One used to have to go through the GP, but this is not necessary anymore; in fact, it is up to you whether you want your doctor to know about your treatment. To book an appointment at London Hypnotherapy UK, simply phone 0207 467 8564 and you will receive a phone call back the very same day.

What is hypnotherapy treatment like and how will it help me to stop smoking?

The therapy starts straight away. Smoking is perhaps different to some other addictions. It must be a complete abstinence programme. Once the treatment begins, you should never go back to smoking. In the future, you must not smoke one cigarette. Yes, just one will hurt you, because you will make excuses and end up smoking again.

What will happen?

In the hypnotherapy, you will be in control of how you feel, think and behave. It is possible that you will experience some time distortion; however, you will be fully aware of what is going on, and you will be in control. Contrary to popular belief, the hypnotherapist is not a sort of wizard that has control over your senses: he will simply facilitate an environment in which you will be able to effect change in your own behaviour.

Aversion Therapy

London Hypnotherapy UK is committed to helping people to stop smoking. Dr David Kraft uses aversion therapy to help people to stop smoking. The benefits of this therapy are huge: not only is it long lasting, but also the effects are immediate. Some clients have been known to stop smoking in one, fifty minute session, while others have stopped after two, three or four sessions. Aversion Therapy (or covert sensitization) is a very powerful technique indeed, and the results have been quite overwhelming.

What is Aversion Therapy?

In trance, the hypnotherapist makes suggestions that, before you smoke, you will feel nauscous and sick. This is repeated at various times of the day. The intention is not to make you physically sick, but to make you feel sick before you take the cigarette. The technique is combined with ego strengthening and information about how much better you will feel having given up smoking. Ego Strengthening is a process by which the client is given suggestions that (s)he is becoming stronger, more confident and more in control.

Smoking is one of the biggest killers in the world.

Become a winner. Be a non smoker.

Have hypnotherapy: stop smoking.

Do I need to see a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist?

What is the difference between a Psychiatrist and a Psychotherapist?

What is a Psychiatrist?

A psychiatrist has been trained as a medical doctor. After the training and house jobs, doctors often specialize in a certain area. The training for a psychiatrist is the MRCPsych. Some psychiatrists work in the NHS, but most are self employed and in private practice; there are also a number of mental health organizations in the UK. Psychiatrists diagnose and treat mental disorders using counseling and medication. Some psychiatrists also using psychotherapy but this is rare.

Psychiatrists treat a wide range of psychological conditions. The following is a list of categories treated by psychiatrists. Where the clasifier is not self explanitory, I have added examples. The list is a simplification of the categorization in DSM IV (American Psychiatric Association, 2000). The author has simplified this so that clients can get a full understanding of the role of the psychiatrist without having to read pages of material.

OTHER PSYCHOSOMATIC PROBLEMS

PROBLEMS RELATING TO ABUSE AND NEGLECT (childhood abuse, physical abuse)

Mant psychiatrists specialize in certain fields–for instance, child and adolescent work, eating disorders, PTSD, forensic psychiatry–while others use psychotherapy to enahnce their work. Most psychiatrists prescribe medication in order to help patients to manage problems. Drugs are also useful because they can help people to break a cycle of behaviour which, in turn, helps them to lead a more controlled and adaptive life after treatment.

What is a Psychotherapist?

psychotherapist does not prescibe medication. Psychotherapists work with many of the conditions above. In fact, they work with the full gamut of psychologically conditions; however, with the exception of some Jungian psychologists, and some other specialized analysts, they do not work with clients on the psychotic spectrum.

At London Hypnotherapy UK and London Psychotherapy, we prefer not to prescribe drugs; the main reason for this is that we feel that it is important to get to the heart of the matter–to find the source of the problem, with using medication.

Psychotherapy is a dual process between therapist and client (or patient). The trained psychotherapist helps the client to deal with problems in life–past, present or in the future.

The following is a list of the types of psychotherapy:

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Psychotherapist in Central London

Psychotherapist in Central London

Specialist Psychotherapist here in central London.

Available: Counselling, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy

Address: 10 Harley Street, London, W1G 9PF, UK.

Looking for a specialist psychotherapist in London?

Perhaps, it is worth considering what sort of psychotherapist you are looking for. There are lots of diferent types.

Psychotherapy is often a lengthy process: during the course, the client expresses his thoughts on present day issues, he talks about his feelings and the therapist will look at how his past has affected his life—particularly in relation to his childhood. The client is encouraged to drift from one thought to the next—a technique known as ‘free association’.

During this process, he gains considerable insight into his life, and he will often find conflicts or forbidden thoughts that, when analyze, have a releaving effect. He may begin to remove or shift unwanted repression, and this, in turn, helps the ego to deal with difficult scenarios in a more appropriate fashion. The psychotherapist job is to help the client to acknowledge and unpack these feelings.

Dr David Kraft is a skilled psychotherapist who also uses an approach known as psychodynamic psychotherapy. This process falls within the remit of integrative psychotherapy. Psychodynamic psychotherapy treatment is often a much shorter process.

Dr Kraft says that, often, clients who come for therapy want to be better in the shortest possible time. They also want to feel that they are improving straight away—they don’t want to be in therapy for years. He, therefore, uses strategic psychotherapy in order to faciliate change in the shortest possible time. Hypnotherapy can be used to quicken and enhance this process.

Can I improve straight away?

Yes. Dr Kraft has had a great deal of experience working with individuals who have needed urgent attention; sometimes, clients feel better after one or two sessions. It is the support that they are given that helps them to lead their lives in a healthy way. They begin to be able to help, and take care of, themselves. Dr David Kraft believes that constant, reliable support is the key to psychotherapy. Some people thrive because of their weekly psychotherapy sessions.

How do I choose the right psychotherapist in central London?

Psychotherapists must have had therapy themselves: they must have had the experience themselves in order to empathize with their clients. When you book a session with a psychotherapist, it is important that you book a few sessions to see whether you feel comfortable in that setting. Trust is extremely important: you must trust your therapist before you embark on your journey—however long or short that might be. The best psychotherapists are the ones that let you decide how frequently you attend sessions. You must be in control of your psychotherapy if you want to be in control of your life!

Hypnotherapy in London

Hypnotherapy in London

If I want to go to a therapist who practises hypnotherapy in London, where do I go?

There are a great number of therapists who use hypnotherapy here in London, but it is so important to find a therapist, or indeed, psychotherapist who is right for you. Some of my clients have been to other therapists before and often tell me that they talk too much and that they are not given enough time to talk about their issues, worries or feelings. Some therapists–for instance, ones that have not been given adequate supervision–have not been trained to treat the full range of psychological conditions. Clients often leave the consulting room with the feeling that they are not cared for, and that their therapist simply doesn’t understand.

I would advise anybody who intends to undergo hypnotherapy to make sure that the hypnotherapist is on one of the hypnotherapy registers. They must belong to a professional body in order to practise as a qualified hypnotherapist. I would also avdvise you to go to a professional who has also been trained in a ‘therapy’ of some kind—be it CBT, psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, humanistic therapy, clinical psychology or psychiatry.

At London Hypnotherapy UK, Dr Kraft has been trained to treat the full gamut of psychological disturbances. There are sometimes when he refers patients on; however, these instances are rare.

What Happens in the First Psychotherapy Session?

In the first session, Dr Kraft will listen a great deal and will then talk to the client aout how to proceed. Each therapeutic strategy is tailor-made to meet the needs of each client. The initial appointment is an hour, while subsequent sessions are 50 minutes.

Where is London Hypnotherapy UK?

The address is 10 Harley Street, London, W1G 9PF. The clinic is right in the heart of London, and is easily accessible. The nearest station is Oxford Circus. No. 10 is at the Cavendish Square end of Harley Street, near Oxford Street. See Map?

Dr Kraft is a highly skilled psychotherapist and hypnotherapist.

Psychotherapy Hypnotherapy and Driving Phobia

Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy in the Treatment of Driving Phobia

Driving phobia is a specific phobia and known as a situational type. Clients with driving phobia tend to avoid driving themselves and, in some rare cases, refuse to get into someone else’s car. This avoidance is the result of a great deal of stress and anxiety in the car in the past–that is to say, one or two accidents or near collisions in the past. Some individuals with driving phobia limit their exposure to driving and being on the road: some avoid driving at all, some stay well clear of motorways, while others only drive when there is no traffic on the road. Unfortunately, this avoidance behaviour perpetuates the phobia, and it then effects the individual’s lifestyle,  and can seriously reduce mobility.

How can Psychotherapy be Used to Treat Driving Phobia?

Dr David Kraft is the founder of London Hypnotherapy UK and the manging director of London Psychotherapy. His approach combines psychotherapy with hypnotherapy. In the psychotherapy, the main importance is to find the cause of the phobia; it is here, that Dr Kraft will also offer a tremendous amount of support. Hypnotherapy is used as a catalyst for change, and this has an accelerating effect on the therapy.  Dr Kraft uses in vitro desensitization. During the hypnosis, the client is encouraged to imagine a series of driving situations. The therapist starts with a simple scenario–for example, switching on the engine of the car–and, over a period of time, will work toward more difficult situations. The hypnotherapy has a powerful effect on the client’s sense of control.

Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Dr Kraft has had a great deal of success using this approach, and has successfully treated many phobias.

If I Have Hypnotherapy, How Long will it Take?

Dr Kraft likes to deal with these problems as quickly as possible.

Key Words: Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Hypnosis, Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, In Vitro Desensitization, Situational Phobia, Specific Phobia
