London Hypnotherapist.

Dear hypnotherapist/psychotherapist

I have been a smoker for about thirty-five years. I have now cut down to 5 cigarettes a day, but I am unable to stop smoking altogether. I can give up smoking for a day or two at a time, but after that I get really stressed, and feel that I need something to calm me down. Smoking calms me down. Smoking makes me relax. When I smoke, I become, somehow, philosophical and have the ability to deal with aspects of my life with more clarity. But as soon as I put the fag out, I feel dirty, as if I have done something wrong. Please help because I want to give up now. Smoking makes me feel wheezy when I go for a walk, and after I smoke people comment that I smell. Not all the time but when I least expect it. I hate it. I heard that hypnotherapy was really good and can help me give up very easily. Can you see me soon? 13SharonVigour

Dear Sharon

Yes. Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy is a very valuable tool and has helped many people give up smoking. At London Hypnotherapy UK, I use aversion therapy and a number of visualization and imagery in treatment. The results have been excellent. I have an appointment available for you next Wednesday. Please give the office a ring and they will sort out an appointment for you. The number is 0207 467 8564. The best of luck.

NLP Communication for Therapists

One day CPD Course

11th July 2010, 10am - 5pm

£95

Given the time constraints of a clinical consultation, we can see how essential it is to be able to really communicate with a client and to quickly elicit critical information relating specifically to their condition, allowing us to spend as much time as possible on treatment.  Also for any treatment to be most effective it’s imperative to establish a comfortable client/therapist relationship based on trust, openness and understanding.

Anyone who has considered taking a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner course will already know how expensive that can be. This course has been designed specifically to give therapists with no previous NLP training the most effective communication tools, using the latest NLP techniques without the expense of a full practitioner course.

Outcomes - By the end of the course you will be able to:

* Use state elicitation to be in the most resourceful frame of mind before, during and after a consultation.

* Understand why you communicate with some clients more easily than with others.

* Be able to communicate fully and effectively with every client.

* Move your client from a negative state to their most resourceful state.

* Build rapport quickly - one of the most essential skills for any therapist.

* Recognise how we use our senses to communicate with our world.

* Literally speak your client’s language.

* Discover how your client builds their unique model of the world and how they can change it.

* Move your client from being under the effect of their lives to being the cause of their lives.

* Understand and elicit your client’s goals.

* Help your clients develop achievable positive outcomes.

NLP is the study of excellence - of what works - and the techniques and skills you will take away with you will not only allow you to communicate and work more effectively as a therapist but they can also be used in almost every situation in your own life including relationships, negotiations and setting personal goals.

You will also take away a certificate of attendance and a course handbook describing all of the techniques covered during the day, plus you will have access to free post-course email and telephone support.

Initially developed for therapists this course has now been taken up by the medical community as a validated CPD course for medical doctors.

Natural Health Fair Logo

Date: Sunday 11th July 2010 in Tolworth, Surrey.

An exciting opportunity. Talk to visitors from surrounding areas; introduce them to the benefits of the therapies that you offer.

These fairs promote natural health and introduces clients to the advantages of alternative therapy.

Natural health means therapies that use natural methods–that is to say, no drugs or medication

Natural Health Fair says, ‘ As a therapist based in Surrey or Birmingham, how would you like to play a part in the Natural Health Fair that will put you in front of hundreds of local potential clients from as little as £75? Our aim is to have one therapist from each surrounding area exhibit at our fair, with a handful of therapists from each field (hypnotherapy, osteopathy, reflexology, etc) so that you, as one of our exhibitors, would have little, if any, direct competition local to you’.

Examples of Natural Health: Aromatherapy, Hypnotherapy, Chinese Therapy…………………….

London Hypnotherapist. London Psychotherapist.

Dear hypnotherapist

I need to work with a hypnotherapist to sort out my problems. When I arrived from Mexico last year I found that I was no longer able to look up at tall buildings. I feel dizzy. And as for going up on lifts or going to even the second floor of a building-forget it. I have developed height phobia. I have done some research on the internet. Apparently, this is called acrophobia. I hope that hypnotherapy can help me. It is starting to affect my life. I am unable now to work in areas where there are big buildings. I feel that I won’t be able to come and visit. I am ok if I don’t look at the buildings, but if I do I feel that I am dizzy and out of control and like a little girl. I feel sick too sometimes. I think to myself, ‘what would it be like to fall off one of those buildings’, and a chill goes up from the root, as it were, of my bottom, and part the way up my spine. I get this when I am in buildings too. Even when I go to the dentist. Can you help?

Leslie

Dear Leslie

Thank you for your e-mail. Acrophobia is, in most situations, symbolic. The approach that I use here is either psychotherapy or the combined use of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. I, too, in therapy, like to get to the root of the problem. If you would like to book a session, please phone me on 0207 467 8564.

With best wishes

London Hypnosis.

Dear hypnotherapist

I am a housewife and have had two children. I am so depressed here. I want to escape. Every day I do ironing, I take the children to nursery, I do the washing up and I do the cleaning. I wait all day to have sex with my husband. That’s all I can do is wait for him so that I can have ssome fulfilment in life. He has a great life. He goes to work and has work lunches and chats to sexy young secretaries all day, while I am stuck at home with the kids. I feel that my life is pointless and I feel really angry with him. I want to punish him because I have no life and he has. I have tried to talk to him but he is either amorous, and I have to take advantage of that, or he is tired, or he just wants to watch the television. I am depressed, but I have started to take it out on him in other ways. I have tried denying him sex, but that only punishes me. I am now trying to sleep with another man at the school. He is very nice to me and makes me feel special. The other day, I went back to his place and we lay on the sofa together. We kissed, and that was nice, but then he put his hand up my skirt and it made me feel alive again. I really need to talk to someone about this because now I feel guilty that I have let myself down and I have betrayed my husband. I need a psychotherapist. A friend of mine had psychotherapy treatment with an excellent lady and she solved her problems in a really short space of time. Are you a psychotherapist or a hypnotherapist, and can I have hypnotherapy too. I am looking for a really good psychotherapist in London and in central London too. I live in North London and can travel easily into the centre of town. How many hypnotherapists of psychotherapists work at your practice. Also what type of hypnotherapy or psychotherapy do you do. Thanks M

Dear M

I am both a psychotherapist and a hypnotherapist. Of course, hypnotherapy is an option that we can discuss during the consultation therapy. There are, as you know, many types of psychotherapy-Freudian psychotherapy, Adlerian psychotherapy, Kohutian psychotherapy, Kleinian psychotherapy, Jungian psychology etc. I use psychodynamic psychology and I often combine this with hypnosis–I suppose, my approach comes under the banner of integrative psychotherapy. I am an independent.

If you would like to book an appointment, please ring 0207 467 8564.

Yours sincerely

Dr David Kraft
