Smoking Cessation. David Kraft at London Hypnotherapy UK Newsfeed.

On the 6th of June 2011, Dr Kraft will be giving a presentation on the use of hypnosis for smoking cessation. David will present a case study which illustrates that hypnosis can be used effectively to help individuals stop smoking in one hour. The case study looks at a 33 year old man who had been a heavy smoker for over 20 years. He gave up smoking after one hour and did not smoke one cigarette for then on. At the year follow up, Philip, was still smoke free.

Dr Kraft will talk about the importance of building rapport while booking the session and building expectation on the phone. He will then describe his unique approach to treatment which incorporates the use of aversion, chaining suggestions, poetic repetition, response sets, split screen imagery and the ‘Non Smoker Walk’.

Smoking Hypnotherapy with Dr Kraft is a highly effective form off treatment which has no side effects.

Hypnotherapist London

To London Hypnotherapy UK

I just wanted to put pen and paper to thank you so much for your help and the hypnotherapy. As soon as I phoned, I felt that I was in good hands, and they said that the hypnotherapist is extremely good at what he does. They also said that he is a psychotherapist too and that is principally what he does. Well, you know, the slogan of London Hypnotherapy UK is ’someone who cares…’ and I think that this is correct. The secretaries were lovely and helpful too. I have to say that I felt worried about the whole hypnosis thing. And I didn’t think that it would help me at all. I have been suffering from insomnia and hypnogogic hallucinations for many years now and I had come to the end of the road. But the hypnotherapist, Dr Kraft, reassured me and made me feel much better. He guided me through the hypnotherapy process and this helped me a great deal. I think that he is the best hypnotherapist ever. I should know. I have seen three in my life so far, and I don’t think I need to see another hypnotherapist ever again. He also taught me self hypnosis and this is really important indeed. If you need a hypnotherapist in London, contact London Hypnotherapy UK. Their phone number is 07946 579645, and they are really helpful. The only thing that I found difficult was the first session. But you have to work through that if you want to get better. A friend of mine went to see the same hypnotherapist and he got better too. But he said that he was in a terrible state for several days after some of the session. I only had 5 sessions and got better, but he cried during the hypnotherapy and it took him a couple of months before he felt ready to leave. I suppose we are all different.

London Hypnotherapy London Hypnotherapist London Psychotherapy London Psychotherapist

Dear Dr David Kraft

I want to ask you whether you can help me. I had hypnotherapy with your father, Dr Tom Kraft, and I want to know whether you can see me too. I saw him three years ago and he helped me with my research. He was a mine of information about hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, and I went to him for assistance. I was not a patient, but I did receive a basic training on hypnosis from him. At the time I was doing the UCL course and he was my tutor. I wanted to ask some more questions. Can you see me in Harley Street, or can we meet at the Royal Society of Medicine. I assume that you are a fellow there too. I remember having coffee with your father in the bar at the Royal Society of Medicine one time and he helped me with a piece of coursework that I was doing.

I am now working in private practice and need help with the following areas: performance anxiety, weight loss hypnotherapy, smoking cessation hypnotherapy, IBS treatment strategies (in particular how to use imagery in treatment, and the ‘river approach’), covert sensitization, and some more information about systematic desensitization.

Can you help

Thanks

J

Dear J

Yes, of course, we can meet. You can ring me on 0207 467 8564. We can meet at the Royal Society of Medicine in the first instance if you like. I, like my late father, use a combination of psychodynamic psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.

Dear Sir

I just need some help with a few things. I want to have hypnotherapy with a trained hypnotherapist. Do you use psychotherapy or hypnotherapy? I understand that hypnotherapy is safe and that it involves two people and no drugs but will I be aware of what happens during the process. Can hypnotherapy be used to treat phobias, and how long does the treatment last. My friend had hypnotherapy three years back and she said that it helped her a great amount. She never felt better. What are the effects of hypnotherapy and how long do they last.

I need a hypnotherapist in central London, and I looked at your website. I decided to send you this e-mail because I thought that you looked like a fully trained hypnotherapist and not just some wacky witch doctor who was just taking people’s money, or a bored housewife who has re-trained because she wants to ‘help people’. Please advise. Kartrina

Dear Katrina

You are fully aware of what is happening during the hypnotherapy. Please see my CV on the website or the information about me at the end of this message. I have been using psychotherapy and hypnosis for years and very successfully. I use hypnotherapy to enhance my work in the psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have treated many individuals with phobic anxiety and successfully. I cannot give guarantees: it would not be fair. However, I do like to think of the work in short phases and do not see the point of drawing things out. Once we have got to the root of the problem, the effects are, in many cases, long lasting.

If you would like to book an appointment, please do not hesitate to ring me on 0207 467 8564.

Best of luck

Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy

Dear Sir

I would like to give up smoking but I am unable to do it. My mother spoke to me the other day and he said that she would pay for some hypnotherapy session for me. She said that many of her friends have gone to a hypnotherapists and that the effects are long lasting. She also that that it doesn’t take too long and that I would have to come for half a year or more. She said that it can take three or four sessions. Is this right? I really want to give up smoking. I have been smoking for eight years now. I have tried nicotine patches but they just make me feel ill. I have tried acupuncture to help me stop but that didn’t work at all. I have also tried nicotine gum. I am afraid that I will put on weight too. Please advise. Dawn

Dear Dawn

Thank you for the e-mail. Indeed, the approach that we use at London Hypnotherapy UK is fast and effective: some individuals are able to stop smoking in one session while others need up to three or four sessions. Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy, a technique in this case which combines psychodynamic psychotherapy with covert sensitization, is both powerful and long lasting too. However, it is important to note that it is a complete abstinence programme; once you start treatment, you must say to yourself that you will never have one cigarette again. You become a non smoker–not for five years or so, but for life. This cost effective treatment is also good because it doesn’t use medication and there are no side effects. Best of luck.
