ULCERATIVE COLITIS

This is a serious and very debilitating disorder in which patients experience abdominal pain, and loose stools which often have blood in them. In some cases the condition is of such severity that the patient requires admission to hospital. Recently a London Teaching Hospital has been researching into the use of hypnotherapy in the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis. The preliminary findings suggest that hypnotherapy not only has the effect of reducing the bleeding but the effected parts of the colon show marked evidence of healing
