Welcome to Enfield Counselling and Hypnotherapy Local. David Kraft set up this practice in 2014 because many patients at the Chase Farm Hospital were unable to get psychotherapeutic support—particularly counselling—on the NHS. Individuals found that they could ring up for an appointment with Enfield Counselling and Hypnotherapy Local, and they were seen almost immediately. Shortly afterwards, a number of people at the North Middlesex Hospital were also able to get quick access to psychotherapy by ringing up for an immediate appointment. Some came for counselling and others for more thorough psychotherapeutic support. Very quickly, because of the long waiting lists, individuals in the local area needing psychological support began to ring up for private treatment. And word got round that the clinic was an excellent place to go to in the Enfield area. Indeed, people travelled from further distances in order to seek counselling—first from Winchmore Hill, Southgate, Barnet and surrounding areas, and then from further afield.
David Kraft is a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist and counsellor. His approach is solution-focused and integrative. Counselling and psychotherapy are words which are inextricably interconnected: the main difference is that in psychotherapy tends to include more analysis. David treats the full range of psychological conditions including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, sleeping problems (including insomnia), phobias, relationship issues, fibromyalgia, needle phobia and performance anxiety. He also works closely with women who need to take off weight. In addition, he treats individuals suffering from various addictions – particularly, gamblers and smokers.
David is well-respected psychotherapist and has two clinics—one in Harley Street and the other in Enfield Town. He is involved in the teaching of doctors, dentists and psychologists with BSCAH and has given a number of lectures at the Royal Society of Medicine.
