LGBTQIA+ Therapy
As an experienced psychotherapist with a long-standing commitment to working with the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the importance of providing a therapeutic space that is open, accepting, and entirely non-judgemental. My approach to therapy is integrative and flexible, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities including Rogerian Counselling, psychodynamic psychotherapy, solution-focused brief therapy, behavioural psychology, and, where appropriate, clinical hypnosis.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting many LGBTQ+ individuals through a wide range of personal and social challenges. These may include identity-related concerns, relationship issues, internalised stigma, body image struggles, and the psychological effects of discrimination, prejudice, or family rejection. I also work with individuals navigating issues around gender identity, coming out, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

In today’s society, members of the LGBTQ+ community continue to face significant pressures—be it systemic discrimination, cultural or religious marginalisation, or simply the burden of not being fully accepted for who they are. These experiences can have a profound impact on mental health. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe, inclusive environment in which individuals can explore their feelings and find strategies for empowerment, growth, and healing.
My therapy sessions are offered in Enfield Town, Harley Street, and online, allowing for flexibility and confidentiality, no matter your circumstances. I work with people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds, and I remain deeply committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of my practice.
Throughout my career, I have published extensively in the fields of psychotherapy and clinical hypnosis. I served as the President of the Section of Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine at the Royal Society of Medicine, and I continue to work internationally as a trainer in psychotherapy integration. These roles have deepened my understanding of complex human experiences and strengthened my ability to provide nuanced, compassionate care to the people I support.
If you are part of the LGBTQ+ community and are looking for a thoughtful, experienced, and affirming therapist, please do not hesitate to get in touch. I would be honoured to support you on your journey.
