Insomnia Hypnotherapy
Primary insomnia, according to DSM IV, is a condition in which individuals have difficulty getting off to sleep or maintaining sleep. Individuals with this condition often feel that sleep does not restore them for the next day, and are unable to concentrate on their daily tasks. Many have restless nights, or feel that they only sleep lightly. A marked preoccupation with sleep and falling asleep often increases the loss of control, and the condition worsens. Some individuals comment that, in order to get to sleep, they often have to sleep away from partners, with ear plugs and eye masks, as well as breaking other patterns of behaviour at bed time.
Dr David Kraft at London Hypnotherapy UK has had a great deal of success treating sleeping disorders–particularly insomnia. His approach, which may be described as Insomnia Hypnotherapy, provides clients with the space to deal with their emotional problems, and how best to sleep. During the hypnotherapy, individuals are given time to explore the reasons why they cannot sleep, and are given the opportunity to see into the future at a time when they are able to sleep without any problems whatsoever. Dr Kraft also uses content free therapy. This approach provides clients with the time to explore their patterns of sleep, and to deal with inner conflicts that may affect their sleep patterns. Dr David Kraft is a specialist psychotherapist and hypnotherapist in private practice. He has a number of specialisms including the following: anxiety, phobias, PTSD, OCD and psychosomatic pain.
